Weather Map of Colorado

NOAA is forecasting 1-4″ of new snow for Colorado tomorrow. This should bring the resorts one step closer to opening for the 2015 – 2016 ski season. A ski resort will have to open by Wednesday (October 28th) to prevent the latest start to a ski season in 20 years.

“A fast moving Pacific disturbance responsible for increased clouds during the day will spread showers from west to east across the area tonight and Monday. Cooling during the night will cause snow levels to lower to near 9,000 feet by sunrise Monday morning. Showers will be most extensive during the morning on Monday and will linger into the afternoon. Accumulating snow is expected from around 10,000 feet upward with accumulations of 1 to 4 inches the norm, though locally higher amounts on elevated and exposed west facing slopes are likely. Snowfall will probably result in slushy and snow packed roads over the high passes so be prepared for less than ideal travelling conditions late tonight and Monday.” – NOAA Denver
