Loveland Ski Area just announced that they will be opening their slopes to skiers and riders on Thursday October, 29 2015. The lifts will open at 9am and spin until 4pm and offer skiers one top-to-bottom run covering a near 1,000 vertical foot drop.

That date beats out the 2003 opening as the latest opening for Colorado ski resorts. During that year, Loveland opened Colorado’s first lift on October 28th.

However, with recent snowfall and low temps, the snowmaking operations have been successful and the ski area is looking forward to opening on Thursday and will continue operations through Halloween weekend and beyond.

Lift tickets are $53 for adults 15 and over while children 6-14 are $25.

Kids under the age of 6 ski for free and seniors over the age of 70 need only pay $89 for a season pass!

Trails Open:

  • Catwalk
  • Mambo
  • Home Run

See you there on Thursday!
