Winter Weather Advisory: Up to 6″ of Snow Forecast For Montana

NOAA is forecasting 2-6″ of snow at the higher elevations of Montana for today into tomorrow. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued in two zones of Montana. Snow levels could reach as low as 4,000-foot.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM MONDAY TO 11 AM MDT TUESDAY ABOVE 4000 FEET…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MISSOULA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW ABOVE 4000 FEET… WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM MONDAY TO 11 AM MDT TUESDAY.

* IMPACTS/TIMING: A COLD FRONT WILL BE MOVING INTO THE REGION MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. PERIODS OF MODERATE SNOW WILL CAUSE REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND SLICK ROAD CONDITIONS OVER MARIAS PASS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 1-3 INCHES AT MARIAS PASS WITH THE HIGHER TERRAIN GETTING UP TO 6 INCHES.
