Aspen, CO- After stealing $200 using a debit card he found in an ATM, Aspen local Daniel Enzfelder is facing criminal charges. However, more charges may be forthcoming after he showed up to court drunk on Tuesday morning reports the Aspen Times.

The honorable judge Gail Nichols was preparing to brief the defendant about the charges levied against him, when the prosecution claimed that the man in question was drunk at the time of the hearing and unable to comprehend the proceedings.

When Enzfelder realized that he was being accused of being drunk in the courtroom, he told the judge “we did karaoke,” to which he added “I’m human. We all make mistakes.”

Although the defendant assured the judge he was conscious of what was happening, the judge ordered him to take a breathalyzer.

“I’d rather give the guy his $200 back,” Enzfelder told the judge as bailiffs escorted him out of the courtroom.

After taking a breathalyzer, his blood alcohol content was revealed to be a staggering .24 (three times the legal driving limit). After blowing into the device, Enzfelder was taken to jail until he was no longer drunk, which he claimed would not take long. “I have Superman’s metabolism,” he said.
