As multi resort passes go international, it’s suddenly turned into a race as to which resort group can add more international destinations to their growing rosters. The Rocky Mountain Super Pass is no different and now the resort has both Kiwi islands covered with the addition of Cardrona Alpine Resort. Already this year, the Mountain Collective added Thredbo in Australia and Hakuba Valley in Japan not to mention their domestic partnerships with Stowe and Taos. Also, the Epic Pass added Perisher to their roster as the lone Aussie but lost access to the legendary Niseko United resort cluster.

“With the addition of Cardrona, RMSP+ pass holders now have access to five resorts in Colorado; Copper Mountain, Crested Butte, Eldora, Steamboat, and Winter Park Resort;  Alyeska Resort in Alaska; and Cardrona and Mt. Ruapehu in New Zealand for a total of eight mountains to experience.” Intrawest Press Release

“Located in the Central Lakes District on New Zealand’s south island, Cardrona is just a 50 minute drive from the Queenstown airport, nestled in the heart of New Zealand’s Southern Alps.  Among the country’s largest resorts with over 850 acres of skiable terrain, Cardrona is known for its wide open groomers, which makes it a popular destination for families and freestylers.  The resort also has an array of on-mountain apartments, allowing visitors to wake up with the slopes literally at their feet.  With winter currently in full-swing in New Zealand, RMSP+ pass holders can take advantage of this added benefit now, wait until next summer, or both. “
