The up and coming Idaho Ski Resort, Schweitzer is planning on constructing a new lodge for a total of $3.8 million and resort officials are hoping to break ground later this month. After the board of directors of the ski resort approved the plan, they hope to get the project done in time for the winter season of 2016.

The lodge, which will be located at the summit of the Great Escape Quad, will offer 180 guests a restaurant a alpine restaurant experience with 360 degree views of the surrounding area as well as offer ski patrol a swanky new dispatch office. The total area for the new lodge is 8,000 square feet.
