Mt. Hutt and Coronet Peak were closed today due to high winds that rached 93 MPH.
Here is what Coronet Peak had to say about the closure.
“Really sorry everyone, this wind is just too strong to operate safely today so Coronet Peak is closed. We’ve had up to 5cm of fresh snow on the upper mountain and around 3cm at base so tomorrow should be a cracker.” – Coronet Peak
The winds should die down tomorrow allowing for the resorts to reopen.
