After being banned for four years by the FIS back in November, Thai skier Vanessa-Mae is now allowed to compete in FIS sanctioned qualifiers.

The suspension, which was the result of manipulated results that ultimately helped the ski racer qualify to compete in the last Winter Olympics in Sochi, has now been overturned after The Court of Arbitration for Sport (or CAS) found that there was no evidence linking Vanessa-Mae to the fixing scandal story that broke after Sochi.

However, five officials who oversaw events in which she competed, are now suspended after CAS found “a number of irregularities” concerning the “organization and management” of the races in which she competed.

If interested, Vanessa-Mae will be able to race in qualifiers for the upcoming Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
