On Saturday, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will reopen the Aerial Tramway for summer operations and while the inbounds remains closed, skiers and riders will be permitted to leave the resort’s boundary and ski the backcountry surrounding JHMR.

According to the Tram Crew, the Rendezvous Bowl Plot has received 71 inches since the resort closed 47 days ago and although the valley is green, things are still very snowy above 9,000 feet.

Along with the Aerial Tramway, JHMR will be opening Corbets Cabin (Dyno Mike Waffles?), Jackson Hole Sports, Nick Wilson’s Cowboy Café, and The General Store as the the village welcomes Memorial Day Weekend and the beginning of summer. In addition to the the resort opening its doors, The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 34th annual Old West Days, which starts today and ends Monday evening. Included in the Old West Days is the Old West Brew Fest, which takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Bottom line, go skiing in the morning before drinking some heady brews in the afternoon.
