Mammoth Mountain has announced that Sunday will be their last day of skiing and snowboarding for the 2014 – 2015 winter ski season. Typically the California resort aims to stay open through Memorial Day, but California’s severe drought a brutal ski season will force and early closer this year. Mammoth ended up with 238 inches of snow this season, a far cry from their average seasonal snowfall of 400 inches.

“Goodbye winter, hello summer — it’s official, our last day of public winter operations is this Sunday May, 10th. A big thank you to all our wonderful guests for making the best of the season. Start your snow dances for ’15-’16 and until then, we’ll see you on the bike trails.”
