Utah had it’s lions share of epic riding yesterday with up to 3 feet in most of the Cottonwood Canyons. Alta is just 3 inches shy of a 100 inch base (We don’t think they will make it).  I believe that was the deepest storm of the 2014/15 season.  Snow is moving into Colorado this morning with light snow falling from Berthoud Pass toLoveland.   Heavy snow will be falling tonight through Friday along the Front Range Ski areas near the Divide (12-20 inches).  Moderate snow will fall further west with perhaps 6-12 in some spots inSummit County. The Vail Valley will see light to moderate snow in the next 24 hours with a wind shift on Saturday (Northwest) bringing in more.  The low pressure system will set up in the northern San Juans so areas north of Silverton will grab a decent amount of high elevations snow as well.  I will put Aspen in their as a wildcard!

This system is going to be a slow mover!  We see snow showers continuing into Saturday along I-70 (Lighter intensity).  Heaviest intensity will be late tonight into Friday afternoon.  Models still show some differences but generally 12-20 inches is a sure bet for the upslope prone areas of the northern mountains of Colorado.  Areas west of the Divide will see  less and some spots long the divide might see more?  This will most likely be our last Powder Alert of the season so please help us out below.  Enjoy the powder everyone!
