Very unexpected powder day at MRG!

“We picked up 4-6″ of new snow on Friday and it looks like we scored another 2″ or so since the lifts stopped spinning. Honestly it’s blowing pretty darn good up on the hill this morning and getting a truly accurate measurement is darn near impossible. This new snow on top of the 4-6” from the “big Nor’easter”has rendered us skiing conditions that are flat out phenomenal. Good news indeed and forecasts are calling for even more in the coming days. Even before the recent snows we had been enjoying some magnificent mid-season skiing conditions and now MRG is off the charts. These are the kind of conditions that skiers wait for so come on up and get some for yourself – you really do owe it to yourself to ski MRG when it is skiing like this. We are set us up for a tremendous weekend of skiing. So put on your woollies and get yourself up here to wallow in all of nature’s bounty. Our famous woods and glades are absolutely exquisite right now and the trails are covered wall to wall with soft powder and packed powder. Overnight the cats rolled out the corduroy carpet on nearly everything that is ever groomed here at MRG (at least 23 of our 45 trails – and they say “MRG doesn’t groom”!) . Obviously this weekend we will be enjoying 100% of our legendary terrain serviced by all 5 lifts which are set to spin from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. Please do keep in mind that it is VERY cold and quite windy so be sure to stay tuned to this report for the very latest updates for lifts and conditions.” – MRG!
