Holy Gauc…this happened at motorcycle track day at Texas World Speedway. The camera came off a bike in front of him on the course. The GoPro penetrated the windscreen and destroyed the gauge cluster before impacting the rider, Barry Reynolds’, chest.
As of now I do not know of any regulations when it comes to standardized mounting for onboard cameras that would meet some kind of safety regulations when it comes to motor sports but perhaps there should be?
