In Honor of Veterans Day we thought we would remind you about free skiing for active military around Tahoe.  I’m sure there are a ton of other resorts that are similarly as accommodating  but these are the ones I know of.  Please feel free to add your local resort that takes care of the troops in the comments.

Alpine Meadows & Squaw Valley – Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows stand behind all of our men and women in the U.S. armed forces. As a thank you, we offer U.S. active duty military FREE lift tickets valid Sunday-Friday, non-holiday for the 2014-15 season. Active Duty Military tickets not valid on Saturdays and December 26-31, 2014, January 17-18, 2015 and February 14-15, 2015. Must present U.S. Active Duty Military ID at the Guest Services & Sales Center at Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows.

Homewood — Active military ski & ride free non-holiday Homewood Mountain Resort stands behind all of our men and women in the armed forces. As a thank you, Homewood offers active duty military FREE non-holiday lift tickets with a valid Common Access Card. On holidays (December 20, 2014 – January 3, 2015; January 17-19, 2015; February 14-21, 2015) military personnel will receive 50% off day tickets. Spouses and children of active duty military personnel also receive 50% off day lift tickets when accompanied by active duty military personnel with valid Common Access Card.backtofuture
