Most of the time Signal Snowboards “Every Third Thursday” concept boards use goofy materials and are mostly for fun and to challenge the fabricators.  This project was a little different.  Tim Ostler was a pro snowboarder in the mid-90’s and was rising in the ranks until a halfpipe injury left him without the use of his legs. Signal decided to get him back out on the slopes with a little design the whipped up. There are existing designs for adaptive downhill skiing and snowboarding but I have never seen one quite like this.  Utilizing mountain bike tires and skateboard truck the designers and fabricators sought to get the most stability and mobility while maintaining an overall snowboard feel.  I think the result are fantastic.  Way to go Signal!
