Late season ‘powder’ skiing in Axamer Lizum, Austria.

“A brief return to winter in mid May dropped over 40cms of fresh snow in Tirol, so we went out to play in Axamer Lizum. Due to a mixture of extremely variable visibility and a binding failure, we didn’t make the top of our intended couloir, but scored some great turns nonetheless. Not exactly cold-smoke blower pow, but no complaints for under 2000 metres at this time of year!” – from

Big thanks to Bernie (auffiundowi.wordpress.com) for the follow cam footage, and the music suggestion!
