James P. Meagher is suing Mt. Hood Meadows for $316,990 claiming that he was hurt while attempting to board a chairlift.

Meagher claims he was injured because the safety bar was in the down position when he tried to board the chair. According to the lawsuit, Meagher said he was struck by the chairlift and dragged causing a tear of the cartilage and meniscus of his left knee.

Meagher is seeking $250,000 for pain and suffering, $40,557 in medical expenses and $26,423 in lost wages from the incident which occurred on March 27, 2012.
