A late season storm has dropped as much as 75cm of snow on areas of the Alps. The western Alps, particularly France and Switzerland, have seen the most snow out of the storm that has been raging since the weekend. Reports are that the snow is wet and heavy, which is not surprising for this time of the year.  If you are looking to put some tracks down in this late season snowfall you should head to  Tignes or Val d’Isere which both remain open and have received 40cm from this latest storm. Verbier is also opening and is reports 35cm. Saas-Fee, Switzerland is reporting  50cm.
