Every Spring the the snow starts to melt, the leaves begin to turn green and most of the skiers from Alta make their way down the canyon to find Summer employment in Salt Lake City, or some far off land. Maybe raft guiding, maybe re-finishing decks, maybe slinging burgers or beers on a sunny beach. A long time tradition for the last day at Alta is the High Boy Party which takes place at the top of High Rustler starting in the early afternoon and carrying on into the early evening. A spin off of this long standing event is the Frank World Classic. Born and bred on everyone’s favorite Hollywood air under Wildcat Chair, Punk Rock, the Frank World Classic embraces all that is good in the ski culture. Smiles, laughs, friends and beers are all on hand to support a wild unofficial ski competition that has its own speaker toting MC. (Usually Mr. Mike Trioli) There are more hot dogs than you can shake a stick at and all that attend are guaranteed to win a great day! So come on over! It will be worth your time!
