The Austrian ski jumper, Thomas Morgenstern, remains in intensive care after he lost balance in mid-air and crashed yesterday in Tauplitz. 

The 27-year old won team gold in the Vancouver Olympics and individual gold in Turin in 2006.

A statement released by the Austrian Ski Federation says he has “serious skull injuries and a lung injury”. Morgenstern doctors said that He briefly lost consciousness but doctors say he is now talking and it does not appear his life is not in danger.
