Confirmed! Stowe Season Pass Holders are invited to sample the snow at Stowe on Saturday! The FourRunner Quad will operate as we welcome Stowe season pass holders only, from 8am until 4pm this Saturday, November 16th.

Saturday, November 23rd is still our planned opening day for the 2013-2014 winter season.

“Our mountain operations team has once again exceeded all expectations, with an assist from Mother Nature in the form of great snowmaking temperatures & abundant natural snowfall in the past week. We have received an additional 1-3 inches of natural snow from base to summit in the past 24 hours, bringing our summit snowfall total to 24 inches in the past week! Snowmaking operations also continue around the clock, and we are looking forward to getting skiers & riders out on the mountain to sample the snow.

So, we are inviting all of our 2014 seasons pass holders, including Stowe Five pass holders, to a pre-season day of skiing and riding. This Saturday (only) we will operate the FourRunner Quad from 8am to 4pm, with skiing and riding on over 2,000 vertical feet of top-to-bottom terrain. We expect to be able to offer over 5 miles of open terrain, which includes the following trails, most of which will be groomed: Upper Lord, Ridgeview, Lower Ridgeview, Lord, North Slope, Lower North Slope, Fifth Avenue, Centerline, Sunrise, Standard, Christiana, and Crossover. Our Parks Crew is expected to have two freestyle features set-up on Fifth Avenue, too. Lastly, on Friday our Ski Patrol will assess the potential to have some natural snow terrain open, thanks to the recent heavy mountain snows. Please Note: There will be no beginner terrain available.

Since this event will be for Stowe Season Pass holders only, if you have not yet picked up your pass, please visit the Spruce Peak Pass Desk any day 9am-5pm, and this Saturday from 7:30am-5pm. If you have not yet purchased your 2014 Season Pass, you can do so online at Stowe.com, by calling 1-888-253-4TIX (4849), or in person at the Spruce Peak Pass Desk. We hope to see you on Saturday!” – stowe.com
