Heading to Aspen for a ski trip this season? Well now you can rent a dog to keep you and your family company. The Aspen Animal Shelter is running a Rent-a-Pet program that allows visitors and locals alike to borrow a dog anywhere from two hours to two days. Dogs are matched to their renters based on their experience, athletic abilities, and personalities. Director of the program, Seth Sachson, says “These are animals in need of a good home, and visitors and volunteers are helping the dogs get exercise and develop socialization skills. The program also has a high adoption rate.”
