Earlier today Lindsey Vonn crashed during a training run at Copper Mountain, Colo.

The U.S. Ski Team confirmed that Vonn, who is trying to come back from major knee surgery, crashed Tuesday and is being evaluated.

Vonn’s publicist, Lewis Kay, released a statement that said she had not been admitted to a hospital but was being evaluated by her doctor, Bill Sterett, in Vail.

It is not clear whether she re-injured her right knee. She tore the ACL and MCL in that knee and fractured her tibia in a brutal crash on Feb. 5.

“We have no reason to believe it’s anything significant right now,” U.S. Ski Team spokesman Tom Kelly told the Associated Press.

Kelly confirmed to the AP she was taken off the slope on a sled, which he said is normal protocol.

Vonn was scheduled to return to competition on Nov. 29 in Beaver Creek, Colo.

In recent weeks she has repeatedly said her right knee is 100% and that she had no pain or swelling after her return to the snow. She went to Portillo, Chile, on Aug. 31 to train on skis for the first time since her injury. She eased back into training in close consultation with her doctor and trainer.

With the start of the Sochi Olympics in 79 days, Vonn, 29, has little time to spare. “I would love to win as many World Cups as possible but my main focus is definitely on the Olympics,” she said before the season. “If I start off slow, it’s fine I just want to make sure that by the time I get to Sochi that I’m 100% in those events.”
