After almost a month of no snow and summer temps, Leñas was looking pretty grim, rumors circulating that the resort would close for the season if they didn’t get any snow soon.
Last night’s dump was huge and was a major turning point for the season down here.
In the last 18 hours, the base got 3 feet of snow and the Pisteros(patrollers) are saying there’s somewhere between 7 and 10 feet of fresh up top. Of course nothing opens on storm days here so we got a slow, deep turn or two on the bunny hill before the partying began.
Whenever the lifts open it will be sick.
