Britain’s fastest snowboarder, Jamie Barrow, is now the world’s fastest indoor snowboarder. Barrow reached a speed of 43.1 mph (69.4 km/hr) on a 520m long slope at the SnowWold facility in Holland.
Talking with the BBC Barrow commented, “I’m really happy with the result and the opportunity to both train and set another record. This has given me even more confidence to push my limits and hopefully set more speed records in the future.”
He also tweeted “in SnowWold in the Netherlands and i reached a speed of 69.4kph which i am happy with considering how flat it was :)”
It is the first official world indoor snowboard record.
