The newest ski resort in North Korea

For the past year a substancial amount of news dealing with North Korea has been on about every news channel on TV; however, the latest and greatest is Kim Jung Un and his managment and conduction of his new “World Class” ski resort which is currently being built. Located on Masik Hill, positioned within the Kangwon Province it sits around 2,500 feet above sea level. According to reports the hill acquires a considerable amount of snow between November and March and regardless of the location this will be a “World Class Destination”. The newly constructed resort will feature a Tram, exclusive hotel along with a heliport. Kim Jung Un isn’t unaqcuanted with ski resorts in fact, he was educated for a period of time in Switzerland where he reportedly went to and English International School.

“He (Kim Jung Un) underlined the need to preserve the ecological environment and prevent pollution while building the skiing ground.” Stated the reporter covering the story in North Korea.

Regardless of the fact that North Korea is creating a new ski resort creates an intriguing argument if American’s should fly across the Pacific Ocean to shred a lower elevation in a wild ski resort within an even wilder country. I think I may just stick to Japan.
