It is being reported that mountain lions have killed and eaten a local Jackson area dog.
- Dog: Cheney, a 12-year-old black Lab
- Killed by a female mountain lion with her two large kittens.
- Chaney was killed in the owners backyard then dragged 600, 700 yards where the cats devoured the poor pooch.
- Lions killing dogs isn’t common in Jackson Hole.
- Game and Fish tried to live-trap the cougars this week but efforts have failed.
