HAPPO-ONE (in Hakuba) CONDITIONS TODAY:

– Deep powder (1-2 feet deep/30 – 60cms)

– Light powder up high, denser down low

– Great pillows in the trees

– High speed everywhere as you could shut it down quickly in the deep snow

– Big open faces and noses with very deep snow

– It sounds cliché, but it really was untouched snow on every line, all day long

WHERE THE SKIING WAS BEST TODAY:

– This side of the resort

– That side of the resort

– The middle of the resort (and yes, we could ski it)

1998 Olympics were here in Hakuba. Ski jumps ski loom.

CROWD FACTOR:

– No humans, no lines

– See below
