This first map show the snowfall forecast for the 2013 winter in North America. Above Average snowfall for much of the Northeast. Slightly above average for snow in the rocky mountains. Average snowfall for the Pacific North West.

 

This next map show temperatures forecasts for the United States during the winter of 2012 – 2013.

This winter it looks to be a cold winter for the Northeast and cool for much of the west. Florida and Texas  is look to have an average winter weather pattern. Parts of the Southwest will be colder than average.

Will we have a el nino or la nina this winter? according to this weather map, EL Nino looks to be on tap for winter 2013.
