Tomorrow, Snowbird will be holding a grand opening ceremony for the new Little Cloud high-speed quad chairlift built by Doppelmayr. The  ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and will be conducted by Bob Bonar (President of Snowbird), Nathan Rafferty (Ski Utah’s President) and Scott Beck (President of Visit Salt Lake). Snowbird is off to a solid start to the 2012- 2013 season with 91 inches of snowfall and about 85% of its terrain open for this upcoming weekend.

The new high-speed quad has replaced the beloved Little Cloud double chairlift, which was installed in 1980.

The old Little Cloud double chairlift was sold to Hunt Hollow Ski Club in New York.
