A series of low pressure systems will track into California and Nevada this weekend and into next week. A period of snow showers and gusty winds are expected with the first system Saturday night into Sunday. A few inches of snow is possible across the Tahoe Basin and Sierra passes with rain and snow showers possible across western Nevada. The Monday night into Tuesday system looks to be the strongest of the series with moderate confidence for gusty winds late Monday and periods of moderate snow and rain on Tuesday. Another round of snow showers will again be possible by the end of the week heading into the weekend, but confidence is low on the exact timing and location of the system at this time.
