Solid Opening Day For KT-22. The Sun was out and wind buff snow dominated most of the terrain off the iconic KT-22.

Low tide conditions still apply, especially on the lower half of the mountain. Rocks and shrubs are poking out on a lot of the aspects and creek beds are yet to be filled in. But with 2-5 feet of snow on the way KT should should have 100% of its terrain open by early next week.

The one exception to todays otherwise great conditions were the areas of the mountain that slid two days ago. East Face was a complete disaster with icy conditions from wall to wall and all the way down to the gully.

The lineup this morning at KT never got that bad. However, with the storm approaching and Christmas week kicking off tomorrow lines at KT are sure to get nasty.

Highlights: GS Bowl (well-lit, protected from the wind and super nice snow)
