20120923-182407.jpgThe 4th annual High Fives Bocce Ball Tournament teed off yesterday and proved to be yet another fantastically fun High Fives event. With some blustery weather it was feeling a bit like winter is coming, and with tons of swag, a stacked prize list, and lineup of good people, there were smiles to be had across the board.

With over 40 teams and a sold out event, the free Coors Light went quick. But Truckee River Winery kept the drinks flowing with cheap Pacifico on draft, as well as and array of affordable and delicious wine.

  • Bocce is the plural form of “Bowl” in Italian
  • First played in Ancient Rome

The rather large bracketing board, it was eventually filled with today’s winners, as well as the DFL Team…who took home a pair of shoes as well as the coveted spot of firstly eliminated (a team who still received a sweet prize package!).
