Conditions down here in New Zealand haven’t exactly been the best of late, but it has definitely been a story of north and south. While the Queenstown and Wanaka have been struggling for new snow it’s been going off further north at the club fields.

The likes of Ohau, Mt Olympus and Cragieburn have all seen huge dumps in the past two weeks, and with usually less than fifty people on the hill at any time it hasn’t been hard to find the goods. Nick Hyne and the boys from Diaries Down Under headed north in their latest webisode and found fresh snow on the ground, as well as that unique Kiwi experience – the nutcracker.

While springter continues to trundle along for the likes of Cardrona and the Remarkables, Canterbury is pretty killer right now. So do yourself a favor – take five minutes out of praying to the Kiwi snow gods, check out the snowboarding in the Diaries’ latest edit and get out there and get into it.
