Unofficial is saddened to report that Justin Harold Beldin of Benicia, CA fell to his death during a climbing accident on Sunday after summiting the Middle Teton in Grand Teton National Park with two friends.

According to the National Park Service, Justin Beldin, 27, fell approximately 1,000 feet down Northwest Couloir while on his descent from the 12,804-foot Middle Teton.

Originally from Benicia, CA, Justin had been living in Victor, Idaho since April and working in Jackson, Wyoming.

Justin’s death marks the fourth fatality in the Teton Range this year. Earlier, two backcountry skiers were killed in an avalanche on Ranger Peak on March 7, and a climber fell to his death on Teewinot on July 12.
