It looks like Las Leñas might receive the storm to start the season this week. Snow is expected to start falling Monday night and continue through Thursday night, with heaviest snowfalls Tuesday and Wednesday night. The forecasted storm total is 42 inches at the top (11,254 ft).

There is still a little snow left over from the last storm that came through two weeks ago. Hopefully with that bit of base, the new snow plus wind loading could make the alpine ski nicely in a few days. The resort is planning on opening on June 20, which is looking very possible at this point. Bring on winter!
