There is currently a skier missing in the Eastern Sierras near Tioga Pass, CA. This skier, Boris Avdeev, is suspected to have been skiing in the Dana Couloir/Cocaine Chute area off Mt. Dana/Dana Plateau just East of Tioga Pass in Yosemite, CA on the weekend of April 20-22, 2012.
Boris’ car has been parked at the Poole power plant campground (just east of Tioga Pass) for over two weeks. There was a note on the car reading “Dana Couloir/Cocaine Chute” and dated “Friday”, which is suspected to have been Friday April 20th, 2012.
A search and rescue was launched yesterday morning and is currently on the ground continuing the search.
