This spring has been all time up in Alaska. Not only has a massive amount of snow provided a great base, but the weather has been unusually clear for the Thompson Pass area. The bluebird days and fantastic turns are adding up each day.
Things have gotten quiet since the end of tailgate. The whine of snowmobiles and hum of nearby generators has died down.
Though temperatures are starting to warm up, plenty of soft snow can be found. Lots of lines are hiding from the sun.
Rather than money and jet fuel, sweat and calories are the commodities exchanged for turns.
With plenty of snow still on the ground, the season is far from over here on Thompson Pass.
