2012 US Grand Prix ski slopestyle

On Sunday, March 4th, 2012 Mammoth Mountain played host to one of this season’s most dominating displays of freeskiing aerial annihilation. The 2012 Visa U.S. Grand Prix Men’s & Women’s Slopestyle lived up to its billing and more. The sky was blue, the jumps were massive and the talent was juiced (no, pretty sure steroids were not involved).

So, why should you be concerned with an event now 3+ weeks extinct? Tomorrow, Saturday, March 31st at 12pm PST NBC Sports Networks will be airing this very event (check your local listings), that’s why! Watch the above Unofficial Networks original production to get your stoke-on for this high-caliber competition.

Couldn’t make it to the mountains this weekend for a little extended winter shredding? (Sorry to hear that) Well, here’s the next best thing. Normally I wouldn’t endorse staying inside to watch TV on a Saturday, but 1) these skiers are that good, and 2) it’s forecasted to rain throughout much of CA anyhow. Oh yeah… and don’t forget Torin Yater-Wallace’s 1800 – that is definitely worth tuning in for too.
