You can only eat so many Gangster Wraps or Ramen packets. Sometimes you need to come down from a hard day of skiing/boarding and eat a fully-loaded hot dog. Now you can finally do that in Whistler. Dinky Dawgs is a mere few weeks old and offers a gourmet hot dog with a smorgasbord of topping options that you can enjoy at any time of day, rather than only after the bars close. In the future however, you should be able to get a late night Dinky Dawg too. They have salads, vegetarian chili, and mac n’ cheese as well in case you have been on a bit of a hot dog bender of late.

Duran, the owner, has put together a neat spot where a fresh, organic, never-frozen, hot dog can be piled high with unique combinations of toppings and condiments in a fun atmosphere. Duran is the perfect person to run such a place; you’ll find that out for yourself when you meet him and get a dose of his contagious stoke.

Don’t be afraid to try some new food combinations on your dawg, and stop in between 4 and 5 pm for the $5 happy hour special. This really makes the after-shredding hot dog well worth it and necessary.
