Even small avalanches are dangerous. Watch this snowmobiler trigger a class 1.5 avalanche on the bank of a cat road near Cameron Pass, CO. The slide is just on the side of the cat track and the whole thing rip. The bank is probably no bigger than 15 feet but the slide completely buries the dude.

It’s the little stuff that can get you. Be aware of tree wells and small slides in the trees.  Lose focus for just a second and you could be under the snow.
