Not too sure about global warming. Looks like new glaciers are forming in JH.

The pre season skiing season in Jackson has been great to get a jump on a solid goggle tan.  With the exception one mini storm day, it has been more like Colorado or California here in the Tetons.  The sun and lack lift lines make it very enjoyable to take some fast laps and get your legs back under you.

Nothing new has opened since opening day, but that makes sense seeing how only two inches have fallen. The two inches that did fall blew around and formed some nice little pocket on the northern facing slopes.  Sublette has been spinning all week just for the patrollers.  Looks like they are getting it ready for whenever mother nature allows.

Riding off of Thunder is little choppy and firm with a lot of rocks coming through the thin cover.  There are still stashes of soft snow to slash as long as you are willing to put your skis or snowboard at risk.

The crowds are pretty rough pre season

On the other side of the mountain, the groomers are killing it.  AV and Casper make for some really fast runs, especially when you can go a run without seeing another person.  Conditions are not like last year, but still ahead of an average start.
