It looks as if winter in Jackson has finally turned on.  As of yesterday there was only 6″ on Rendezvous Bowl, tied for the lowest season on record, 1977.  With 6″ in town already, most likely the bowl is getting much closer to the average of 23″.  For sure, it is too early to be claiming a good winter, but it is great to look out and see the valley covered in snow.

There has been a lot talk about another La Nina year and it seems it is starting off very similar to last year.  A beautiful, warm late fall then BAM! here is winter.  Snow is forecasted all week, and I am guessing there will be tracks on the pass before the weekend is over.  Lets hope this keeps up and we will be taking pow laps down the Hobacks on November 26th!
