The IF3 International Freeski Film Festival kicks off today in Montreal. Billed as the “Cannes Film Festival” of Skiing, IF3 is the largest gathering of independent producers and directors in freeskiing. The Festival also claims to host one of the biggest parties in the freeskiing industry. Bold CLAIM! With dozens of submissions from more than 10 different snow laden nations, IF3 presents an international array of freeski films from the following categories:

  • Open and Documentary
  • Amateur and New Media
  • Pro and All Officially Selected Submissions

IF3 was created with the goal of bringing the best of the freeski world together at one event. The festival provides an opportunity for the freeskiing community to share and exchange their passion and ideas for the sport. The event also promotes film makers and athletes side by side with films ranging from independent scale projects to big budget productions with helicopters.
