This is for all you filmmakers out there in Squaw, Telluride, South America, Snowbird, Stowe, Jackson, and beyond. The 2012 Cold Smoke Awards are now accepting submissions from filmmakers. All wintercentric pieces are welcome.

The 2012 Cold Smoke Awards will be held in Bozeman, MT this year, on February 11, 2012. This years prizes are heavy on gear, and heavy on cash. There’s also a few sick trips thrown in there as well.

The Cold Smoke Awards have grown to be a very celebrated event in the ski world over the past several years. This year the organizers are opening up their submission guidelines, creating greater room for more submissions. For 2012 films that focus on any aspect of winter will be welcome. Judges will also accept films of almost any format and any length. This means skiing and snowboarding may not be the sole focus of the event, especially in that non-fiction and fiction will also be accepted this year.

If you’re a filmmaker, professional or amateur, and want in,  click here for a submission form. You have until November 1, 2011 to enter. Good Luck!
