We’ve covered the hucks, pointers, and biggest lines at Squaw. This one may not be so easy to decide on. What’s your favorite area of the mountain? And to up the ante a bit, let’s also say, you can have this particular part of the mountain, all to yourself and your friends, for half of a HUGE POWDER DAY. Where would you choose? Photo Credit: squawblog.com

It’s somewhat safe to say that KT-22 would win for best lift access at Squaw. Hell, if Squaw  was basically just KT most of us would still claim it as the best mountain in the world (because it would be). But a specific area, at Squaw, all to your own, for 3.5 hours on a HUGE POWDER DAY. Have you not already had dreams about some scenario like this? It’s got to be a favorite part of the mountain, and has to be  worthy to ski for multiple laps in such a way that you’ve probably already done something like this on a powder day before-there just happened to be a bunch of tracks after a few laps, and way more people shredding it with you.

Following the trajectory of Squallywood, the mountain is broken down into 16 distinct areas, and that’s what’s going to help us decide which one is our collective favorite. Runner’s up are gonna be sweet too, so what we’d like to see is where you would choose if you only had one area to pick, and if the dream got even better, and you could spend the next 3.5 hours of a HUGE POWDER DAY anywhere on the mountain, besides your top choice, where would it be? Let us know how you made your decision!

In order of their appearance in the book, the 16 areas listed in Squallywood to choose from are:

1. Olympic Lady

2. McConkey’s

3. The Nose

4. The Fingers

5. West Side of KT

6. Enchanted Forest

7. C2

8. Light Towers/Headwall

9. Palisades

10. Mainline Pocket

11. Broken Arrow

12. Silverado

13. Shirley Bowl

14. Granite Chier Chair Area

15. Granite Chief Peak

16. The Forbidden Areas

KSL is just waiting to hear the results of this so we can lobby them to create a contest where this could actually happen! Just imagine how rad this would be…
