Heading out into the backcountry for a quick day mission, you’re gunna need your pack.  And it seems like the dang thing is always overflowing with stuff.  Well what the hell is in there anyway?  How many individual pieces of equipment do you need to make your backcountry ski day a success??

Backcountry Setup:

1 Shovel Head 

1 Shovel Handle

1 Probe

1 Beanie

1 Hat

1 Bandana

2 Treckers

2 Gloves

1 Water Bottle

2 Skins1 Bag of Food1 Flashlight 

2 Rolls of Tape

1 Container of Sunscreen

1 Extra Layer

1 Goggle Bag

1 Extra Lens

1 Pair of Sunglasses

1 Multi-Tool

That’s 22 individual items for a short day mission folks! All neatly organizable in a  rather small 30 liter bag.  Add in all the gear on your body and you’ve got yourself a smorgasbord of things.  All hail stuff!! Can you imagine the necessary quiver of equipment necessary for climbing Everest?
