I can think of four organizations right off the top of my head: The Arne Backstrom Memorial Fund, The Shane McConkey Foundation, SkiDUCK, and high fives. There’s no shortage of quality people in the Tahoe Basin, and no lack of amazing organizations doing good things for our community and the world. You’ve gotta have someone or some organization you think is worthy. Give them the acknowledgement they deserve, and nominate them to Outside Magazine for the positive difference they make!
