The history I have heard is that Patsy Marley, that beautiful West facing zone at the top of LCC ,was named after an old time prostitute from Alta back in the gold mining days. Whether that is true or not is hard to prove. I was able to prove to myself at least that the snow up there is pretty damn nice. Way better than the mogul field still lurking under the new pow on High Rustler.

The skin up was mellow and fun aside from the fog that kept visibility at about 30 feet. The last bit before the ridge was a total vertigo experience with no idea which way was up or how far it was to the cornice. After booting the last 7 vertical feet it was time to ski. The skiing was really good and I was only slightly terrified of a wet slide grabbing me; I got slid pretty bad on Patsy back in 2003. This time it all worked out and there was no drama to report. I will likely go up for another round tomorrow.
