Hope your livers are ready.  It is going to be a wild one in Jackson this weekend.  Between Hill Climb weekend and Jackson Hole Mountain Festival, you are going to have to be a true rockstar fit it all in.  There is going to be some serious parting and all this snow is resulting in riding you do not want to miss.  So suck it up, sleep can wait, this weekend is the time to let loose.

Thursday-Sunday, March 24-27- World Championships Snowmobile Hill Climb. This is a must see.  The town of Jackson is taken over by florescent colors, and mullets.  It is a great time to drink beer and cheer for the 2 stroke pros to make it to the top.  Or to watch the fools that try to fight the 9.8m/s^2 that is gravity when the runaway sleds come barreling down Snow King mountain.   There will be many events going on from Thursday to Sunday.  Just look up at the local mountain to see the action.  Along with this is a freestyle show at the fairgrounds on Saturday night at 7.  The air show cost $20.

Thursday, March 24-   Blistered Earth at Town Square Tavern. One can never go wrong rocking out to the music of Metallica. This tribute band will be taking over the Town Square Tavern around 10pm.  Things for sure will get pretty rowdy there, especially with the influx of hillclimbers.  Entrance is a mere $5 if you arrive before 9 and $10 if you want to do some pre-gaming at home.

Thursday, March 24- Masquerade Ball at Rendezvous Bistro. The Bistro is celebrating the end of their winter season by throwing a party for everyone.  With Dj Mr. Whipple, the Bistro’s cocktails and a photo booth, who knows what will happen.  Just grab a mask and $5 for entry.  This kicks off around 11pm.  It wouldn’t be a bad idea to go early and get a nice meal before hand.  I suggest starting off with the Tuna Tartare, and get a few oyster shooters in.  When there are  masks, revealing outfits, and dancing, it is alway good to be on your A game.

Friday – Sunday,  March 25-27- Jackson Hole Mountain Festival. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will be happening all weekend.  With some great riding and a line up of bands you may want to plan ahead and bring shoes.  It isn’t bad to be that guy dancing at the Moose in ski boots at closing time, but three days in a row could be bad for your feet.   Katchafire, The Foundation, Chan Man Roots Band, and One Ton Pig will all be playing free shows just under the tram after the ski day.  Pole Pedal Paddle, a quadathlon tradition also starts on Saturday morning.  A fun event with Alpine and Cross Country skiing, Biking and Kayaking.  For a full schedule of the weekend’s events go to JH Mountain Festival.

Saturday, March 26- Deadlocks at the Mangy Moose. Katchafire will be ending as the temperature will be dropping. Might as well move over to the Mangy Moose and warm up.  While you are there, have a few drinks and enjoy the songs of Grateful Dead played by the Deadlocks.   This show is $10 and starts at 9:30.
